Saturday February 9th, 2019
@ Maplewood Richmond Heights High School

14th Annual
Educating for Change Conference:

"Borders, Boundaries, and the Spaces In Between"

How Do We Redefine the Spaces We Occupy?

Educators committed to social justice often work within systems of entrenched practices and idealized visions of schooling that at times feel disparate and/or oppositional. What structures of schooling form the borders and boundaries you encounter as an educator?  This year’s Educating for Change conference seeks to make public your stories - from inside, outside and in between - to explore possibilities for opening doorways and transcending barriers.  How can we go beyond the borders of our classrooms? How can we work around or break through boundaries to make sure students get what they need?  How do we facilitate youth dialogue addressing these topics? Come join us as we - educators, students, parents and community members - look inward and outward to learn ways to push back on limits, cross borders, and take action for social justice.
