On the day of the conference, I felt a vast sense of accomplishment at being part of something that involved nearly 400 teachers... I knew for some what they heard at the conference would change them, open them to new ideas and strengthen their resolve to work for social justice by being with like-minded others. Through them I felt like I was touching the lives of many students. The people of the planning committee were all extremely busy like I am in my work and studies, but they all found time to create this conference. They inspired me to make time to work for positive change beyond the walls of my own classroom. -Member of ESJ’s Conference Planning Committee
